RE/DONE Pamela Love
Quality, aesthetic integrity, and sustainability; these are just some of the values RE/DONE shares with Pamela Love that made a collaboration between the two of us a no-brainer. From the beginning of RE/DONE, Pamela Love was always someone we hoped would embrace our jeans. Her personal style, and of course, her eponymous jewelry line are the envy of cool girls everywhere. She’s got some major CDFA cred too, she was the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Runner Up in 2011 and won the CFDA Lexus Eco Challenge for Sustainable Design in 2012. From designing out of her Brooklyn apartment, to selling in some of the world’s most prestigious stores, its inspirational to see what Love has been able to create.
Sean Barron, co-founder of RE/DONE on the collaboration: “I met Pamela a couple years ago at the CFDA awards and I immediately knew I wanted to do something with her. She has the most incredible creative vibe and, of course, is a huge fan of vintage denim. Once we started RE/DONE, we approached her and we’re so thrilled to have her as a partner for this collaboration.”
For her collaboration with RE/DONE, Pamela Love drew inspiration from her long admiration of Mexican and Guatemalan textiles and the works of artist Frida Kahlo, who heavily inspired her last jewelry collection. With a strip of serape fabric placed at the waist of the jeans resembling traditional Guatemalan aesthetic and patchwork added at the ankles where the bottoms rolls, Love chose to highlight these elements to have the jeans represent her style.
