1970s Travertine Hippo Fratelli Manelli
We join Ève and Arnaud of ODA Paris in presenting an edit of rare, mid-century pieces for the home. They began as a vintage home goods vendor at one of France’s most respected Flea Markets, Marché Paul Bert in Saint-Ouen. Now, the duo seeks to create atmospheres and find objects that recollect a juxtaposition of contexts, spaces, and elements evoking emotion and fostering new memories.
Made of travertine stone, these decorative objects are splendid in their simplicity. They are small, but enough of a statement to stand on their own as an eye catching, decorative sculpture in the home. Highly sought after by collectors, the objects were produced by Fratelli Mannelli, a post-war, contemporary artist and marble sculptor from Signa, Italy.
