White jeans are a study in contrasts: the purity of their color with the history of their 25 year old denim. Their seasonless style and their irreverence towards fashion rules. Their mass appeal and their incredible rarity.
These jeans are truly rare, and our limited collection of less than 50 pairs may not sound like a lot, but is a feat of scouring and sourcing. We painstakingly tracked this vintage denim down, picking up pairs that had a special balance of brightness and grit.
We knew we had something special in our hands with these jeans, so we handed a pair off to our friend David Mushegain. A wandering artist and fashion photographer, he shares our desire to show beauty in it's simplest form.
David asked his friend, model Stella Maxwell, to help him bring our jeans to life. The friends, who met entirely by accident at Le Progress in the Marias in Paris four years ago, didn't need anything more than Stella, our pair of white jeans, and a black wall in New York to share the true beauty of this denim.
Now, we gave this pair to Stella as a thank you for being our wide-eyed muse. And that means that we only have 43 pairs of these jeans left. Make them yours, and you'll conjure the spirit of ultra rare, monochromatic cool with each wear.
