I think we can all agree that the Aldridge girls have some good genes. Both Ruby and Lily are tall, willowy, porcelain skinned, basically just both babes. Ruby is the kind of ethereal beauty that makes her seem almost otherworldly. Plus, when your mom, Laura Lyons, was a 1970s playmate and your dad is famed English artist, Alan Aldridge, who created all of the graphic images for the Beatles, you probably know a thing or two about being cool. It is kind of unfair.
Ruby’s resume reads like a how to manual of a top model. She’s been the face of a major European fashion house (Valentino), check. She’s had a major cosmetics campaign (ck one), check. She’s opened multiple shows in a single season (4), check. And she’s walked in nearly 200 show; pick a top designer, she’s walked their show – seriously, check check.
We shot Ruby outdoors in Tompkins Square Park on a brisk fall day. The images were shot by Alexandra Nataf and styled by Emily Mazur.
Based in New York, Alexandra Nataf is known for her clean, simple, and modern portraiture. In 2015, Nataf launched Unconditional Magazine, of which she serves as the creative director.
