Georgia Hilmer

Georgia Hilmer is more than just another pretty face. She is a total self-proclaimed nerd with a killer Instagram to boot. How many 16 year olds do you know who would put their modeling career on hold and make the fashion industry wait for two years while they finished high school? We can think of one – one who, at only 21 years of age, seems wise beyond her years.

Born and raised in Jersey City, Georgia was discovered while at the movie. Super casual. She was seeing The Blind Side. From there she signed with an agent and ditched three weeks of school to walk in Milan Fashion Week. But even after all of that, Georgia decided that modeling could wait; school was her priority.

Fast forward three years, her commitment to getting an education hasn’t wavered despite her success. Georgia balances her college life as a student in NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, designing her own major, with the grueling, but occasionally glamorous life of a working model. When not holed up in the Library, Georgia can be see on the runways of Chanel, Dior, Saint Laurent, Celine, Lanvin, and Margiela to name a few.

When RE/DONE was looking for the perfect girl to shoot in our new Relax Crop style – a playful twist on the OG Relaxed Straight, our team turned to photographer, Alexandra Nataf, for suggestions. She told us about a wonderfully lanky cool-girl she had shot the week before, Georgia, and we were sold. Alex, Georgia, and our stylist, Emily Mazur, shot these images in the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Based in New York, Alexandra Nataf is known for her clean, simple, and modern portraiture. In 2015, Nataf launched Unconditional Magazine, of which she serves as the creative director.
